Dear Delegates,
Welcome to the first annual assembly of Mosaic Mennonite Conference! This historic virtual event for our new Conference is set for November 7 and 8. We value your time and input as delegates, as we gather together on Saturday to discuss a new vision and mission for our reconciled Conference and to affirm the membership of eight Florida congregations into the Mosaic Community. Sunday worship will feature music and prayer from across our Conference and a sermon from Cesar Garcia, President of Mennonite World Conference.
While we will miss the opportunity to be together face to face, we believe that when two or three of us, or even 300 or 3000, are gathered together – even on Zoom – that Jesus is with us!
Plan to join us on Saturday for our business sessions and Sunday for our Conference wide worship, as we pray and look forward to “On Earth as it is in Heaven.”
Grace and peace,
Steve

The Lord’s Prayer
For our Virtual Conference Assembly Virtual Worship Service on November 8, we’re looking to add the many voices of Mosaic Conference, of all ages and languages, to a reciting of The Lord’s Prayer!
Using your smartphone, a camera, or your computer, we invite you to film yourself saying The Lord’s Prayer in your own language. You may use any version you like! We encourage you to recite it from memory, or if you need to read it, try doing so from the device you’re recording on, or something alongside your camera (ie: don’t look down!).
Tips for recording and submitting your video:
- If using a smartphone, please turn the phone horizontally (“sideways”) to film, as pictured. If possible use a tripod or set the device on something to keep it steady.
- Position yourself a few feet from your camera, rather than far away. This is particularly important in any room that echos or if you film outdoors.
- Be aware of any ambient noises in the room (fans, other people talking), and try to use a quiet location. A little background noise is ok, but it should not distract from your voice.
- Feel free to record and send a few takes – we will pick and chose sections to use in the broadcast.
- When you have finished recording, file share your video with Kristine McClain at office@mosaicmennonites.org. We recommend using WeTransfer.com, or a sharing platform like Dropbox or Google Drive.
- The deadline to submit your recording is Friday, October 9.
Reflect – Summer 2020
We Need YOU!
- Send a video greeting in your language of choice–just a few seconds–as an individual or family. Send your video greeting along with the names, city, and congregation of those in the video by email to office@mosaicmennonites.org or
through file-share (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.). - Join our multilingual virtual choir. We will edit together a choir of people from across our conference who have recorded video of themselves singing along to a song. If you would like to participate in this choir, please email eralphservant@
mosaicmennonites.org and we will send you more information.
