Workshops:
Formation Workshop: The Spirit’s Voice and the Mission of God
Speaker: Meghan Larissa Good
In our call to serve as witnesses, we are not sent into the world alone. Through the Spirit, God speaks in an ongoing way to send, reveal, convict, coordinate, and call people to God’s self. This workshop explores the biblical evidence for how listening to the Spirit can super-charge the church’s mission, with practical tips for hearing the Spirit’s voice and following the Spirit’s lead.
Intercultural Workshop: Restorative Peace Circles
Speaker: Maati Yvonne Platts
How do we build empathy and community in our churches or neighborhoods? How do we handle conflict as Anabaptists? Learn from a practitioner about what peace circles are, their purpose, and why your church should consider using them.
Missional Workshop: God’s People Are Sent — Panel Discussion
Panelists: Ken Rush (Liberty Ministries), Paulus & Sumatha (PPMI), Bernie & Katie Chung (San Francisco Chinese), Gary Alloway (Redemption Church)
Moderator: Noel Santiago
The word missional is often used in the church today. But what does it really mean? What does it look like to live as missional people in Mosaic? Come hear from various practitioners as they share their experiences and the ways they are engaging in their communities and around the world.
