The opinions expressed in articles posted on Mosaic’s website are those of the author and may not reflect the official policy of Mosaic Conference. Mosaic is a large conference, crossing ethnicities, geographies, generations, theologies, and politics. Each person can only speak for themselves; no one can represent “the conference.” May God give us the grace to hear what the Spirit is speaking to us through people with whom we disagree and the humility and courage to love one another even when those disagreements can’t be bridged.
Kenneth Seitz, Jr. says
Greetings to friends and family in Franconia Conference,
We are grateful for this tribute to our parents, Kenneth and Grace Seitz. Mother, with her roots in Plains Congregation and Dad, coming from Slate Hill Congregation, Camp Hill, Pa., were part of Franconia Conference — as a couple — from 1937, the year of their marriage, until the family moved to Virginia in 1951. Then in l958 began the twenty-year Mexico saga and a relationship with Franconia Conference until 1985 when they retired in Harrisonburg.
We, their offspring, some of us more than others, still feel a deep attachement to Franconia Conference, particularly spouse Kathryn Hunsberger and myself. We cherish our Franconia Conference roots; and again a special thanks to those of you who wrote tributes above.
